How it Works
Spokies Bikeshare is metro Oklahoma City’s bikeshare service, with 50 pedal-only and 48 e-bikes available in Downtown Oklahoma City and surrounding areas.
1. Plan your Ride
- Before you head out, planning your route in advance will help ensure you get the most out of your ride.

2. Download the App
The Spokies App lets you locate available bikes, buy passes, check out, and return bikes.
3. Choose your Bike - Electric Assisted or Pedal Powered?
- All bikes are smart bikes, meaning they can be checked out and returned with your smart phone.
- All bikes have to be locked to a bike rack in the ridership area to end the ride.

Pedal bikes have black baskets panels and gears to make climbing hills or pedaling against the wind easier. Currently, only e-bikes are on the road. Pedal bikes will return soon.
E-bikes have an orange basket and are pedal assist. This means that when you pedal the motor helps you go easier and faster. The more you push on the pedals the more the motor assists. E-bikes will assist up to 17 mph.
4. Choose and Purchase your Pass
- Just want to try it out? We recommend the 24-hour pass. It includes unlimited number of rides and a total of 4-hours of ride time.
- Want to ride often and at the best price? Purchase a Monthly or Annual Pass and get the best rate. These passes allow 40-minutes of ride time each day.

5. RIDE!
- Don’t forget your plan! Knowing where you’re going and how you’ll get there will help you ride with confidence.
- Stay cool and be safe. Once you’re on the road, you’ll want to follow the rules of the road. Check out these tips for riding.
6. Return the Bike
- When you’ve reached your destination, or if you’re done for the day, be sure to secure the bike properly to a bike rack in the service area.
- Note: an additional fee will be charged for bikes parked outside the service area.
- Lock the bike with the provided cable, then submit a photo to end the trip.
- You will receive a “confirmation email” – confirming your trip has ended.
